Terms and Conditions of stay
Your stay at Forest Camping is subject to the following terms and conditions:Fires & Barbeques:
There is always a fire risk in the forest and there are by-laws restricting the lighting of fires.
To protect the forest and for public safety, please observe the following:
- Contained charcoal or gas barbeque units only (NO wood, cones or other material to be burnt inside or outside the contained units)
- Disposable contained barbeques must be on bricks, to avoid burning the grass
- Barbeques are to be kept away from trees and bushes
- Please leave ashes in your barbeque until COLD then place them in a bag before disposal
- No hot objects on the picnic tables
- Barbeques must be extinguished by 10pm
- Barbeques after 10pm may be extinguished without warning
- Any fires will be extinguished immediately
Noise:
Out of the respect for your fellow campers and those who live in the area, please keep noise to a minimum at all times, especially in the evenings when others will be sleeping.
Visitors:
- Campers wishing to have day visitors must prearrange and pay £3 for your guest’s car. (one visitor’s car per pitch per day)
- Day visitors must depart from the site by 9pm
Waste & Recycling:
- Please recycle glass bottles and food/drink cans at the recycling point next to the toilet block
- Milk bottles must be returned to the crates at the front of the shop
- Only food waste, food packaging and COLD barbeque ashes (in bags) permitted in bins
- ALL other waste is to be taken home
Dogs:
- We welcome well-behaved dogs
- Dogs must be kept on leads
- Please clean up after your dog
Booking:
- We accept bookings via telephone on 01394 450707
- Please have a payment method ready as full payment is required when booking
- All payments made are non-refundable
- The booking office is open 9am to 6pm everyday from the 1st of March to the 31st of October
- Easter – starts from Thursday for 4 nights minimum
- Bank Holidays – starts from Friday for 3 nights minimum
- Minimum stay at weekends – 2 nights (Friday/Saturday)
